One of CISRA's strengths is the close cooperation between researchers, chip designers and software developers, producing well-designed complete systems. The diversity of our in-house technology domains offers staff opportunities to move between these areas. Also, due to the large number of diverse projects operating at any given time, there are ample opportunities for staff to move between projects, further enhancing their career diversity.
CISRA staff are also skilled and active in patenting their work. In recent years CISRA has filed over 100 patents per year, adding to the constantly growing portfolio of internationally granted patents underpinning our products. We have an in-house patent department to help staff develop their patenting skills and focus their inventive capabilities on valuable outcomes.
CISRA staff have the opportunity to work on global projects, as we work closely with Canon's international R&D groups and with R&D groups from other global companies on developing international standards, allowing cross-compatibility of manufacturers' products.
CISRA supports a variety of staff research activities, with many of our staff involved in technical research initiatives, resulting in their research papers being published in prestigious international academic and industry journals and also being presented at conferences.
